I too am mourning the loss of Smithy, although given he was such a hard nut as a pc, he is a crap inspector...far too touchy feely. But it will be missed dreadfully in this house, dh loves it, his favourite show!

I agree- smithy is my absolute fave. love him.

The bill is the only show which dh and I agree on. He wont watch my reality stuff (one born every minute etc) and I cant bear the 24/7 sports coverage.

The Bill is one of my faves - in fact it's one of only a handful of shows I watch on ITV. I don't like reality/x-factor type things.

And of course I love smithy!
When ITV moved it to the 9pm slot last year, there were articles written about how this was ITV's way of reducing the number of viewers watching it, so therefore they could axe it. I think it's a shame, as it has got really good of late, and goodness knows what they will replace it with
