what's bothering me about Nick Tilsley

is - I have finally realised - is his accent.
SO he was born in Weatherfield, went to live in Canada but has no trace of either accent?

They needed to pick someone better looking to play the part!

The whole family have different accents to each other. They're supposed to be from Manchester but David's accent is Yorkshire, although I suppose this happens quite often in Soapland

I cant figure out what the hell it is about the bloke. That in itself bothers me. Its like the where-is-that-actor-from feeling ruining an episode of Casualty. Working out why he irritates me so much is ruining corrie.

Didn't the original Nick Tilsley release a single??? He's obvioulsy a roaring success as a singer and couldn't return becuase of work commitments.

He was actually in Casualty, he was Nathan Spencer, one of the bosses. He was also in Football Wives playing Conrad Gates.

Adam Rickitt is in a soap in New Zealand, not Australia - in fact it is NZ's only home-grown soap, Shortland Street.

And yes, Adam rickitt was the second Nick - the first one played Nick as a child, then he wasn't seen for a while and reappeared as Adam Rickitt (with his top off a lot, iirc). Now Adam is Kieran Mitchell - "a charming Englishman with a chequered past" in NZ's "medical drama" i.e. soap, Shortland St.

And according to WIki Chris Quentin (Brian) now lives in teh States and ,um, doesn't seem to do much

THANK you cornetjo. Thats what it is. There was me making subconscious links between him and casualty and still not getting it.

Thats whay he bothered me. Nathan was a yuppie twat with few redeeming moments and thats what Nick is doing - being Nathan in corrie. No wonder he's annoying.
