hope freddie isnt dead .....

havent watched skins yet as watching ee but yes last weeks ending was OMG, and seeing blood splatter through the glass

Saucepanman · 19/03/2010 00:02

Have sky plussed- was watching my home town on Question time. I was properly open mouthed last week at the Freddie thing

Saucepanman · 19/03/2010 10:16

Have just watched it! That can't be it!

Ledodgy · 19/03/2010 10:18

Do you think fredie's sister is going to go through to the next series so we get some sort of further conclusion?

Ledodgy · 19/03/2010 10:18

*freddie

IMoveTheStars · 19/03/2010 10:21

argh, not watched it, why did I click on this thread [hides]

Saucepanman · 19/03/2010 10:53

Hmm maybe, in the same way Effie did?! Are we allowed to speculate what happened? Close your eyes Jareth!

gallerymaid · 19/03/2010 11:01

Some of the storylines and conclusions were a little ott, I thought e.g Harvard.
The love declaration was a nice touch, and that final scene was very well acted by Cook.

CuppaTeaJanice · 19/03/2010 11:02

Did I miss something because I don't understand how Cook made the link between seeing the shadowy figure in Freddie's garden and following Dr Foster back to his flat, breaking in and finding 'evidence'.

And what do you reckon Cook did next?

And why did Naomi make her big announcement in front of everybody else?

And why didn't Tony visit Effie in hospital?

gallerymaid · 19/03/2010 11:12

I suppose Cook would have been going on instinct (he saw name of Dr in Fred's journal), but it was rather tenuous.
I did wonder (briefly) if Foster had lured Cook there on purpose for a second (to get another rival for Effie out of the way).

I liked Naomi's rather public announcement

They were all behaving like Freddie been long dead throughout the episode, weren't they? E.g. Talking to him whilst looking skyward etc

Saucepanman · 19/03/2010 12:51

I do kind of heart Cook

I think either he kills mad doc and goes to prison again, or is killed by mad doc but fights for Freddie and Effie's sakes- both bit shit tbh. Guess we'll never know if it's all new characters next series....

UnquietDad · 19/03/2010 12:59

I only watched 5 minutes of Skins once before tutting, saying "Oh, for goodness' sake" and walking out. Am I officially middle-aged?... Even the prospect of hot girl-on-girl totty could not keep me in the room.

ChickensHaveSinisterMotives · 19/03/2010 13:00

Have to say, I didn't enjoy this series. Its veered far too in to the realm of the surreal for me. Also, Effy really got on my tits, being all beautiful and tortured.

expatinscotland · 19/03/2010 13:03

Can you imagine having any of these people for neighbours?

Well, I can, after living over a teenage drug dealer.

It wasn't glamourous. It was shit.

UnquietDad · 19/03/2010 13:31

People go on about how emotional and moving Skins is, but it's basically "hey, we're wacky teenagers, we get, like, stoned and shit? and we have loads of, like, sex and really great parties, yeah? cos that is what young people do and if you don't then you are old and boring. Like?"

The series is largely written by 19-year-olds. Let's be honest, it shows.

Blondeshavemorefun · 19/03/2010 14:17

so i take it freddie is def dead

or maybe he is laying in a pool of blood/coma etc in other room?

i assumed cook went to house as what he saw written in diary?

hope cook kicks the shit out of doctor

it took me a while to get used to these new characters as obv skins was based on effies older bruv tony+friends in the first series's

expatinscotland · 19/03/2010 14:56

Spot on, UD, but with one addendum: although none of these youngsters is ever in full-time employment, they all have unlimited funds at their disposal, even the immigrants.

Saucepanman · 19/03/2010 16:47

Blondes I thought I wouldn't like the new cast but took to them pretty quickly- am guessing will feel the same about the next lot. I hadn't thought about if it was glamorising anything or not, just found it enjoyable to watch

gallerymaid · 19/03/2010 18:10

It is quite stylised and glamourises their way of life (and they all get passable grades in their A' Levels too despite excesses)
I wouldn't ever admit to watching it, but it reminds me of This Life. I'm not sure I'd like any teenager of mine watcing the programme, however.

UpYourViva · 19/03/2010 18:30

Cook followed Dr.Foster home because he saw him lurking near Freddies house.

I was gutted it ended that way. Ive made my own conclusion....Cook kills Dr.foster then finds Freddie alive in the house then they all live happily ever after.

Hate Effy though

Blondeshavemorefun · 19/03/2010 18:49

we shall just have to wait and see - just like we all thought tony was dead when he got hit by a bus

Ledodgy · 19/03/2010 19:56

"It is quite stylised and glamourises their way of life (and they all get passable grades in their A' Levels too despite excesses)"

I was like this and I revised for my English Lit A.level the night before in an indie club on half a pill.

I got a B.

Saucepanman · 19/03/2010 23:02

ledodgy!

clarebear1 · 23/03/2010 16:09

Cuppateajanice- Tonys dead isint he?

twosofar · 23/03/2010 17:50

No Tony's at Cardiff Uni

I hate unanswered endings...was very dissatisfied with the last one of S4
