Documentary about John Lewis

Not really S and B, but just wanted to say I am enjoying that BBC show about John Lewis. It's my favourite store for household things, etc. and I love their ethos.

I'm quite enjoying it too.

It's like window shopping from my sofa without risk of buying anything.

Interesting, I applied for their graduate scheme years ago (umm, about 25 yrs!) but then joined the Army. Now I am a SAHM and getting itchy feet I dream of a nice part time job in my local Waitrose. I think I'd be a good and loyal Partner.

............and I love their 7 day roman blind order service!

I love JL. Their customer service is second to none. I sent them a cheeky email recently to say that some pillows I had bought some 12-18 months before were leaking feathers everywhere and even though I had no proof of purchase, order number or anything I received two new replacement pillows within 48 hours. Can't imagine many shops doing that.

I love the shop, and am enjoying the program. Have recently had a Mummy right of passage, by taking DS there to get his first shoes. We always used to get our shoes from JL as children. There kids clothes are nice too.

I love their ethos too and DS has had very good experience working for them through sixth form/gap year. I've spent tens of thousands in JL and Waitrose so feel it is part of my life [sad person emoticon]

I used to work for John Lewis, Glasgow - when it first opened. Hated it due to a crappy b*tch of a manager but I know how customer service was and really liked that part of it. Worked in the department that dealt with blinds as well so would liked to have seen this!

it was my favourite shop when i lived in london.
tis the main thing i miss.

they do have a certain smugness though
progrma was dull I thought except for the marketing bit

yes we watched this as my husband works for waitrose ,we love the partner discount !!
