Is anyone watching Jo Frost Extreme Parental Guidance?
The thirteen y/o with all the grown up dresses, getting boys' numbers, sneaking into clubs... OMG. I'm horrified.
I could actually cry at the thought of my DSDs or DD being like this.

It's unbelievable! She's dabbled in drinking WTF!!!!! Get a grip woman.

CHOOGIRL · 09/03/2010 20:49

I think it is slightly ironic that she is lecturing parents about obesity. Pot? Kettle?

SkiBumMum · 09/03/2010 20:53

and how does poor Poppy get any rest or attention with that vile Paige in her bedroom?

MamaGoblin · 09/03/2010 20:53

Choogirl - those were my thoughts too! I'd sort of turned off before we got onto the 13 yr old clubber, because I really don't think Jo Frost should be lecturing anyone on not eating all the pies pizza.

Ahem, am only watching before One Born Every Minute.

Nettiespagetti · 09/03/2010 20:54

I can't believe it! Omg I so hope dd isn't like that!! I want her to be more self aware and proud of her appearance but that's too too far!!

Yes well I can't talk either bout portion sizes just eaten half a raisin loaf!!!!

elmofan · 09/03/2010 20:56

im watching it , gez & i thought dd (4yrs) was bad at sleeping but paige
cant wait for one born every minute to start

Nettiespagetti · 09/03/2010 20:56

I was wondering that about the sister prob why mum has had her in her bed!!

nannyj · 09/03/2010 20:57

I had roast potatoes for dinner....just roast potatoes

Was amazes at the pizza sizes though.

JollyPirate · 09/03/2010 21:03

Yeah let's get really personal about Jo Frost's weight instead of looking at the 13 year old going to clubs and drinking eh?

wolfnipplechips · 09/03/2010 21:03

Allowing that 13 yo to go to clubs is awful. You only have to read the papers yesterday and see the guy convicted of murdering that 17 yo who he groomed on fb. That makes me want to lock my dd in her bedroom never mind buying her clothes that reveal EVERYTHING and sending her out to deal with the advances of men. How is her mother keeping her safe and raising her self esteem? At least her mum will know when she has some bloke forces himself on her whilst she's drunk or she catches an STD

and i think i'm quite liberal

spybear · 09/03/2010 21:08

I thought that sleep training with the 6yo was cruel. It must be really upsetting for the little girl seeing her mum being really cold with her, let alone with a camera in your face.

Why didn't they address what the little girl said about needing more snuggles?

And last week they were really at the other little girl being so attatched to her mum. I know the hair pulling was not right, but it wasn't so bad with the cuddles and dummy and bottle.

Jo frost is a meany this series

sungirltanhasanactualhairstyle · 09/03/2010 21:13

i dont care is JF is fat - she's a grown up lady and can take responsibility for her own diet/cholesterol

the 13 year old in the hooker outfits was truly awful. she won't need to go on facebook to meet a sex offender!!

PureAsTheColdDrivenSnow · 09/03/2010 21:18

what the hell is wrong with that girls Mother - who lets a 13yo go to clubs? Jesus..

Presumably she doesn't have a job, as she's 13, so her mum is also paying for these clothes and allowing her to wear them?

farking hell.

antoinettechigur · 09/03/2010 21:31

very nice sungirl

CHOOGIRL · 09/03/2010 21:36

Think I was about 13/14 when I started going to clubs. Also remember leaving the house with totally unsuitable clothes - hidden under a big coat of course

sungirltanhasanactualhairstyle · 09/03/2010 21:40

just telling it like it is and i'm not making a joke either.

poshtottie · 09/03/2010 22:08

A child's portion of ice cream is one tbsp! Did I hear that right???

I can imagine ds's face when I give him that tomorrow.

MilaMae · 09/03/2010 23:07

Spybear that child was 3,no child should be having bottles, dummies and continual carrying around cuddles at that age. Wasn't her speech delayed, god knows what state her teeth were in and she must have had some developmental delay as she was doing nothing other than being carried around sucking a dummy.

I think the sleep training was spot on. To send a 6 year old to school repeatedly with no sleep now that is cruel and severely detrimental to their academic progress. The reason she had got in that state was the mother was repeatedly too soft, she should have stood up to her years ago then it wouldn't have had to be done. It was last chance saloon, think they were way past sticker charts .

PureAsTheColdDrivenSnow · 09/03/2010 23:16

poshtottie - they should have done it as 1 ice-cream scoop

houseworkhater · 09/03/2010 23:18

Why don't parents make a stand anymore and say "NO!"

I cannot believe that the mother was letting her 13year old go to clubs for 16s and over, especially dressed like that, she looked like a whore.

Why don't parents start to actually parent and not be afraid to be the odd one out, not letting their child do what is clearly inappropriate. Just before the start of this my dh and I were having a conversation about the number of children out and about on bikes without any lights. Why do parents allow it. I sometimes feel that we are the only sensible adults around.

Slartybartfast · 09/03/2010 23:20

i couldnt believe it when i saw she was 13

i assumed she was 16. how weird. and her mum seemed quite sensible.

small pizza portions i thought also. oth dd now 10, would have eaten that little at the age of 8, like a bird. i spose i shoudl be grateful for small mercies. all my dc's are slim.

CarGirl · 09/03/2010 23:31

I wish that Paige's mum had also given Paige snuggles during the day as well as sorting out the bed issue - perhaps they did but it wasn't shown???

I have a 13 year old and no she doesn't go clubbing. I grew up in Stockton and the clubs are all quite rough, no way at 16 even tbh.

PureAsTheColdDrivenSnow · 10/03/2010 00:07

IMHO - Paige was so desperate because she wanted the cuddles from her Mum that she on;ly got at bed time.

Typical example of a girl who desperately needs attention, looking for one-to-one situation.
All attention seeking is always about lack of attention.
Simples.

MathsMadMummy · 10/03/2010 08:27

FWIW they may well have addressed the daytime cuddles, AFAIK they usually film far more than we get to see.

I only saw the bit about pasta portions and turned off. My DS is nearly 9 and if i gave him a portion size as recommended by Jo frost he'd be starving, esp. after an hour of football training. My DC all eat more than that and are slim, healthy active kids.
