Not sure what I think about mini series that require me to stay in every night for a week. (I like to hold on to the illusion of a social life at least)

But that baby is CUTE. Or am I just addled (am 12wks p/g!)

So the babys father-why was he in hospital?

Maureen turned him in to the police-although he was an informer(?)

Katie didn´t want to be with her so she killed herself or Pazt killed her?

No Pat definitely killed her. He was a bit creepy. All that "You can't leave me or I will tell the police you pushed him" and "You will be ok as long as you do exactly what I say"

I didn't really understand what had happened between Maureen and Farid. And why was the baby's blanket thrown off the bridge? I mean obviously to make us think he had killed the baby too but he hadn't, so how did that happen?

No it wasn't as good as the previous 5 days. I think they were trying so hard with red herrings that everyone ended up behaving in a strange creepy way when in fact there wasn't anything wrong with them ie Surann's mum's boyfriend, the foster carer and the whole of the Muslim family.

Just to encapsulate the ending:

Maureen was obsessed with Katie and liked to pretend she was her daughter because she didn't have any family. katie wasn't interested and took up with Farid and got pregnant to him. Maureen was jealous and in an attempt to get Farid away from katie grassed him up to immigration hoping he'd be shipped off home. His brother, who was slightly unhinged, thought he wasn't ever going to see Farid again. He left the house with Maureen and due to his depressed nature comtemplated suicide on the train bridge. he asked Maureen if he would ever see Farid again and being a bitch she tells him 'no' and he kills himself.

Pat is equally obssessed with Maureen as she was with Katie. She's left him once and when he thinks she's going to leave him again he kills her. That's is really.

I was trying to watch with 2 children talking over it so missed a lot of it

I enjoyed it tbh. Nothing like 5 hours of misery to warm the soul. I think it's about time one of these series didn't end with everything being tied up perfectly (iyswim - like it did in the last one).

(thought the baby v cute but couldn't bear hearing him cry so much even if it wasn't him iyswim!)

if so, andif Maureen was so obsessed and in love with the baby, then why did she not look after it?

and where was the baby going to end up?

I thought the whole series started well, but had a bad ending

It can't have been Maureen that left the baby because the baby was left at the same time whatshisname jumped off the bridge, and she was at the bridge with him. So maybe it was the mother, Katie? But they were indicating that it was a man that dumped the baby.

mebbe her drug dealer or some bloke who had picked her up (katie)

(disclaimer, need to watch it again as had kids disturbing me so not sure if that was revealed in last episode!)

I thought it was clever though Blondes. I get fed up of all these dramas where everything is resolved. Life isn't like that so I thought it quite refreshing to see something that didn't leave you feeling as though everything had been tied up iyswim.
