EE: what is the story between Biance and Carol?

I only started watching EE 7 years ago . Why the animosity between Biance and Carol? And is Carol Max and JAck's sister?

DH has no idea of these details, swears that he DETESTS this show and then sits down to watch it with me!

FWIW Bianca had been with the bloke her mum subsequently turned up with, at an earlier stage, unknown to Carol. But they then proceeded to rekindle things, stopped when Carol discovered she was pregnant, got found out anyway, and Carol proceeded to have an abortion.
