WHY was Robbie Williams nominated for best male act? His comeback had hardly set the charts alight has it? Its like when Joan Armatrading and Kate Bush were nominated every year for Best female due to lack of stiff competition despite not releasing a sng for decades

This is making me feel old, I used to get so excited about the Brits, this year I've no idea who the nominees are. I'm not sure if it's beacause new music just isn't as good any more, or whether it's because I've turned into a miserable old git. I suspect the latter.

Lambanana, Robbie is being given the award for outstanding contribution to music - generally given to artists / bands who've had minimum 20 years experience in the biz.
