Hi, I'm not a regular so sorry to butt in, but my theory is that Katherine attacked Julie to hurt Susan indirectly for 'stealing' Mike back.

I reckon that Danny's family are in Witness Protection because his mum had to give evidence against someone dangerous.

I hadn't considered Katherine for the strangler, but the theory does have merit. I expect this storyline will take weeks to play out!
