(only watch cos DCs are watching, of course!!)
HOW SPOILT are these kids, and why would you go to those extremes for their 16th?????

Some of them are horrible kids too!

If my child was that much of a brat they'd be spending their 16th birthday in their room, never mind having a party that is bigger than most people's wedding!

I must admit having caught this programme on the odd occassion although DD doesn't watch it as she's only 2 .

rosieposey · 07/02/2010 20:30

My teen girls watch this sometimes and we all have a good laugh at the US and the UK ones. They are horrid, generally to their parents too - IMO it's all just senseless greed and they are going to grow up to be just delightful

lilolilmanchester · 07/02/2010 20:36

I'm not optimistic that they are going to grow up to be delightful... maybe we could meet up on this thread in a couple of years time rosieposey - for their sake I would so love you to prove me wrong!!!

um, maybe cos they think their kids are delightful and that throwing money at a party/having no boundaries is the right way to parent???? Beats me too Stewie.

Lol lilo i was ing at them growing up to be delightful (NOT) - i have never seen a bunch of more self centred little darlings in all my life, their parents are as much to blame for being such indulgent twonks, they really aren't doing their kids any favours whatsoever.

lilolilmanchester · 07/02/2010 20:49

phew rosie, was starting to think you might be one of the Mums!! Thank goodness you're not!!!

Gawd no! i think they are a bunch of right little shits dears and when i say that my DD's laugh at them i do mean 'laugh'.
I think when we used to live in Guildford someone that my eldest DD went to school with was featured on one of the episodes and she was spoilt rotten. I often wonder if those kids actually have any real friends or if their 'friends' are just in it for the freebies and z-listers that they manage to secure at their parties?

They do manage to pick them, don´t they.
Well, I guess that´s the point.

TBH,I could see that that´s how my daughter would be though if she was used to having that amount of money splashed around for her.
