this actually looks fantastic - there was a lady on This Morening talking about them today and they are amazing!

Definately need the tissues!! The lady on this morning was saying that when they get lost it really messes them up emotionally and sometimes they just give up and die - literally of sadness

Must be so hard to film not helping the baby cross the river

oh can't stand it. baby ele's. been weeping ever since. Did'nt help that the bob geldof prog was also tragic tonight. Can't wait to see if the orphan elephant is OK tomorrow

They are just so lovely when they use their trunks to sniff and stroke

Like when she was reaching out to sniff Jonathan

but also when the baby was trying to cross the river going down the bank

oooh more weeping in our house tonight. i must be a big sap. Loved that the lady who set up the sanctuary still gets emotional after 50 years of looking after orphaned eles. The best Tv show this week for me. Who knew that elephants were so socially intelligent...?

Oh I know and when the little boy elephant held his bottle for himself in his trunk

DS came in and I was crying when they were putting them in the trucks and asked why I was crying and I tried to tell him but couldn't get the words out properly explaining they were going to be set free

Oh and when they had to stop on the road cos they were getting upset inside the truck with their trunks coming out of the top

oh dear tears streaming down my face

i know i know! it was desperate that bit. Isn't it great that the wonderful keepers are so sensitive to the elephants? i loved them- the fact they could see that Wendy elephant was sad. Oh my heart is breaking just thinking about it.

did want to slap michaela tho as she was getting out of her pram abit!
