i had no idea about the Dinner for One thing, i must look it up on youtube.

pretty grim. have been given something to help me sleep tonight. i've never taken sedatives before so feeling odd about it. but i really must get some sleep.

i called an old friend of mine this evening and told her how i was feeling and she is coming round tomorrow morning.

think i could just about stomach a virtual scone. i've only managed a glass of milk and a bit of chicken, so on the upside i might lose weight and have one less reason to be depressed.

anyway, this is probably not the thread for my moping. goodnight.

Germans do not know Sound of Music anyway and are quite bemused by Brits and Americans wishing to go to Salzburg and the Sound of Music show.

I have not in all my live seen or eaten Schnitzel with Nudeln but there is quite excessive food snobbery in my family. No way my mum would ever serve that.
I thought QI was very funny although I don't agree that Germans don't care much about football games against England. That 1:5 defeat in Munich a few years back still hurts.

True, about the football but the Germans certainly are not as obsessed with 1966 like the English are.

My MIL makes putenschitzel with nudeln. Yum.

I have never come across Schnitzel with noodles, and have always thought that when listening to the song.
