She's Shirley's niece. Think she's in the show for a while.

She's from E20 - the new online based Eastenders. I think it's aimed at a younger audience.

No she definitely isn't a brilliant actress. According the E20 website, she started as a screenwriter and was then offered the part. Apparently, she is a trained actress - not a shining advertisement for her school is she?
