Finally gotten around to watching this series. So glad I have, its nothing short of brilliant

Just starting series 2 and am already sad knowing that it will be finished soon. Daniel Knauf had so many plans for this show but unfortunatly not enough people followed it

The episodes in Babylon with John Hannah were some of the best I have seen in a TV show for a long, long time.

Anyhone else seen this series?

And apart from Twin Peaks, can anybody reccommend anything else like it?

No wonder it didn't survive past season 2

Well if anyone likes myth & magic with a religious twist set in the era of travelling freakshows, I thoroughly reccommend it.

I saw the box sets in HMV and was curious but I don't know anyone who's watched it. What is the vibe: does it take itself Very Seriously, or is there room for some lightness now and then?

i loved season 1, saw the first ep of season 2 and was so gave up

Dorothea It is serious but there are moments of light-hearted banter. It does make me chuckle every so often Kinda like Lost in that respect, or ER...but nothing like those two shows. Hope that makes some kind of sense

Sparrow What was it you didn't like about the 2nd season? It is a bit rushed due to HBO pulling the plug , but I am up to episode 5 and still hooked

I'm with Flame - watched season 1 and it was great - bought season 2 and watched 3 or 4 episodes and gave up!

I thought season 2 was much better as it explained it all really well. I really liked it too. Have you watched Deadwood?
