The Pogles? I'd never heard of them.
Love love love Noggin the Nog, and DS's adore Ivor. The dvd is on almost everyday!

Tottie!!!!

OMG! I loved Tottie, but it was so sad too!

CaptainNancy · 22/12/2009 20:56

Do you thin k this will be on iplayer? Would love to see it...

duckyfuzz · 22/12/2009 20:57

its lovely, DH and i are sat here like a pair of old fogeys going 'ooooh, they don't make them like that anymore' and shaking aour heads in dismay

TeamEdwardsSparklyBaubles · 22/12/2009 21:07

I really really enjoyed that.

I've now been on Youtube and found some Tottie and Pinny clips. I'm feeling all misty-eyed...

The Pogles looked fab with their fairies and witches (which were dumbed down in the later series by all accounts). Never heard of them before though...

RTKangaSANTAMummy · 22/12/2009 23:09

it is repeated on BBC4 @ about 2.30am

blithedance · 22/12/2009 23:11

It is on Iplayer - i had to catch up as turned on to see the last 10 minutes.

CaptainNancy · 23/12/2009 14:05

Ooh, thank you blithedance! [Smile]

I was a Pogle fan! Shown in the mid-60s. They are a family living in the woods, Mr & Mrs Pogle, Pippin, (child) and Tog (not sure what Tog is!)
Took me right back just hearing Oliver Postgate's voice.

JeffVadar · 23/12/2009 14:56

I love all their stuff, and remember Pogles Wood very well (I am ancient).

A work colleague once rang me during a break during a big conference in the States to ask if I remembered the name of the big bird in Noggin the Nog.

funtimewincies · 23/12/2009 18:50

Tottie used to give me nightmares (I still can't stand dolls) but I loved Bagpuss and ds (3) has just discovered the joy of Ivor the Engine.

I know that I'm really out of date but I find today's computerised animation so soul-less . Oh dear, a cream sherry and my slippers beckon!
