im sick to death of them doing this....i just get into a series then the plug gets pulled. why dont the americans just give them a chance to get going?

Dh says its all to do with audience figures and advertising but it pisses me off!

they pulled firefly just as i got into it. now theyve pulled dollhouse on its second series.

I think buffy took a while to take off but for some reason they were prepared to stick with it and support it. Maybe budgets are tighter these days? Its like the record industry - they always used to be happy to nurture artists, now they will drop them if the first album isn't a hit.

It's a tough business. If the programme doesn't get enough viewers, it is axed.
