God, Eamon Holmes makes my teeth itch

Yes, I know I don't have to watch him, but I generally like 'This Morning' as background noise. I can't stand his sneering attitude, particularly towards his wife-to-be. I live in hope that one day she'll just turn around and kick him.

Completely agree. He's so rude to his wife. Constantly putting her down. I wonder if it's because he's gained a lot of weight and is worried that she'll leave him so is trying to dent her confidence. I cringe for poor Ruth. He's a total embarrassment.

I can't understand why he's still on television. He interrupts the guests with inane witterings about himself and asks completely pointless and facile questions. For example, when the Obamas were here and they met the Queen there was a very interesting American political writer talking on This Morning about their visit and a photo of them all flashed up on the screen. Eamonn interrupted him to ask "Is the Queen really that short or is Michelle Obama very tall?"

Then there was the Salma Hayek interview.

Oh God, Eamon Holmes! I'm just glad he left Sky TV, it has made my background noise of Sky News in the morning much more bearable.

I can't bear him..........he has the same accent as an old boyfriend of mine and I can't listen to him at all! Bit mean to despair of him based on his accent but hey - the man's an idiot so it's OK!

Best thing about being away from the UK............no Eamon H! Mind you, I found the other day that we can get Sky News and he was on that! I nearly dropped my lunch (we're ahead of GMT) but pleased to read he's left there too - fab! Happy again!

I can't bear him either. The funniest thing was when Peter Kay was on recently talking about his dog "getting its lipstick out" - Eamon hadn't a clue what he was on about and wasn't amused, Ruth was in hysterics.

Thing is, it's a lovely accent and I used to find it so dreamy......but no more! He's even ruined Eamon Holmes for me - the final nail in his "what a cad" coffin!

I have said it before he looks like the type of bloke who would accidentally brush against your breast and then pat your arse to say sorry .

Eamon is a fat git. Ruth seems very nice - she was a broadcaster all throughout my childhood in the west country - she read out kids birthday messages on Gus Honeybuns Magical Birthdays, she had a very dodgy perm.
