I don't know but I think I read somewhere that Maria and Hayley go on a search for him. Apparently Tony confesses to police about his involvement in Liam's murder this week so I'm guessing they will find Roy one way or another. My money is on him being alive.

I think they will find the knife with Tony's blood all over it. He didn't pick it up after the struggle.

don't be silly - Roy can't die. End of discussion.

Just found this on a web page:

Tony follows Roy to the canal with a knife, a fight happens and Roy ends up floating in the canal unconscious.
Tony then changes his mind, and drags Roy from the canal leaving him on the verge.
Hayley then worries about Roy and goes to look for him and finds him, (Roy survives) whilst Tony goes to the police station and confesses to killing Liam.

A good year of suspense.
Stupid ending.
Now Maria will be all over the place. Again.
