It was really good and well done - but sad

Want to find someone else who watched it as everyone in RL will have watched Flash Forward/Life/I'm a Celebrity

I thought the portrayal made it clear that she initially wanted children, and was determined to have them. But did not cope well with the reality. I don't think she is unusual in that. It happens, even in today's world.

She did not seem to have an instinctive maternal bond with her babies - we don't know if there was an explanation for that, e.g. traumatic births, being undermined with her first child. It is very sad.

Wow, I wonder if my copy is still at my parents' (a lot of my stuff is still in their attic). I remember reading it several times as a kid. I once tried Pilgrim's Progress as well as I knew it was based on it, but it didn't capture me.

The Bookmark version is on Youtube - at least, I've found part 1 of many parts I expect.
YouTube: Enid Blyton, 1992

I enjoyed watching Enid. Now watching the Maureen Lipman version.

I was in Windsor Great Park on Thursday and Maureen Lipman and Anne Reid were filming there, so we couldn't use the children's playground. Have to say, I didn't know who Manureen Lipman was by name... but I recognise her. I'm just not good at remembering names of people!
