How much weight would you guess she lost? Is she thin now? Did she talk about how/why she did it?

she's on now
no talk of her weight loss but I remember her in 80's as much bigger
she's prob been thin for 20yrs though??

There was some old eighties footage of Alison Moyet on the other night. In my memories she was absolutely huge.

In actual fact she looked about a size 16.

I think our perception of what we regard as overweight has changed enormously in the past 25 years.

she did wear huge tent like clothes though didn't she?

there wasn't the choice then

I remember the largest bra size in marks was 38dd and they were few and far between

she is alot older which may contribute to her looking a wee bit worse.

agree she wasn't that big but she had a whole eighties baggy clothes thing going on.

Now when I was 15 she was fatter than me by a long way. I thought she looked great on Graham Norton (and sounded great too). These days, not only is she much thinner than me, she also seems to be younger too!

She did an interview a while back, about 2010 I think. Said that she lost the weight as she did not want to be dependent upon people caring for her as/when she got older. She said she was fiercely private and it bothered her that somebody might have to come take care of her if she was old and unhealthy and big. She's lost a lot more weight since that interview though, I think anyhow. I can't remember where I read it, sorry...
