I really enjoyed the bill when they had old ds beech in it (now in eastenders). It seemed really exciting (well as exciting as the bill can get!). I also remember the reaaaaally old series - they seem so tame compared to the new ones.

ojsmum · 16/06/2005 19:50

Puff Murder one is on FX channel 270 on Sky. Really miss Fraggles

Magscat · 16/06/2005 20:05

Blakes 7
Citizen Smith

(Erm, bet half of you out ther edon't even remember them . I was very young)

Caribbeanqueen · 16/06/2005 20:10

Yes, Blake's Seven - that was fantastic!!!

Also Green Wing. Anyone know if they are making another series?

Milliways · 16/06/2005 20:14

Thirty Something!

Magscat · 16/06/2005 20:15

Oh yes, Green Wing - what a 'Cliff Hanger' ! Don't know if there'll be a new series hope so.

Blakes 7 - I used to fancy Avon - can't have been more than about 10 years old!

(Think I fancied Wolfie Smith too - was even younger then)

Magscat · 16/06/2005 20:16

Milliways - yes - 35 to be precise

jessicasmummy · 16/06/2005 20:18

Telly Addicts, Family Fortunes, Wheel of Fortune!!!

saadia · 16/06/2005 20:21

I really miss thirtysomething - I was addicted to it, taped all the episodes watched and watched them over and over and wanted to be Hope. It was so well written.

I wish they would make a series to show how all the characters handled being fortysomething

Magscat · 16/06/2005 20:22

...oh and Northern Exposure

lunavix · 16/06/2005 20:28

I'd do anything to watch a new episode of buffy or angel (ie one I couldn't recite backwards)

other than that.. teachers.

sorrel · 16/06/2005 20:36

agree with Green Wing-best thing on TV for ages. Also miss those Bbc 1 Costume dramas on a Sunday evening. Just the thing to wind down too.I'm so soppy, but can't bear anything contentious on a Sunday night.
When are we going to get more 6 feet under- love that.
bring back Hong kong Fooey.

starshaker · 16/06/2005 20:48

monarch of the glen archie was sooo yummy

charleepeters · 16/06/2005 20:49

Friends i miss it so.....

weesaidie · 16/06/2005 20:50

I miss Green Wing and YES they are making another series... think it will be on in the Autumn, I loved it.

Also miss ER (even though it has only just finished!) and I used to love those costume dramas too!

noddyholder · 16/06/2005 20:52

robins nest

sorrel · 16/06/2005 20:53

i know- monarch of the Glen is one of my secret loves. Dh despairs and can't understand why i like it. it is definitely a sunday night thing. You need something scenic that requires no mental effort and you can watch while reading the sunday paer at the same time. Wish they would do vanity fair or jane eyre or something too

Chandra · 16/06/2005 22:56

ER, Desperate Housewives (already missing it) and most of all, Friends. Though maybe is not that I miss Friends, I miss the lack of good relaxing comedy on TV on a Friday night.

shenanigans · 16/06/2005 23:03

curb your enthusiasm

Gobbledigook · 16/06/2005 23:25

A programme called The Mole which is fab and has not been on for ages

moonunit · 17/06/2005 00:32

i liked the mole too, and that quiz programme that was on BBC2 with jamie theakston where you had to lie to each other, can't remember what it was called.

Marina · 17/06/2005 09:52

Magscat, another Avon fancier
My old schoolfriend was such a Blakes' Seven nut she organised a convention at her university and it was very well attended. Vere Lorrimer was the guest of honour...!
For crapola TV I do miss Howard's Way and Tenko...
Can't say I "miss" Thirtysomething as I never saw it last time round, but would love to see it re-shown as so many people rate it as a series.
And which other "maturer" Mumsnetter remembers that series with John Houseman as an old lawyer teaching a group of students? Was it "The Paperchase" or something like that?

Marina · 17/06/2005 09:52

Oh, and I remember the original series of Fame and Twin Peaks with great nostalgia too!
