Lost - Series 5 ... does anything get explained/become clearer

Am wondering whether to ask for the DVD set for my birthday.

Am in the middle of the Series 4 boxset and it's all still pretty confusing and unclear!

The last episode especially... I literally can't wait to see what happens next.
