Is it just me or is the new guy in Coronation street an appalling actor? I have to look away when he's on.

haven't seen tonight's yet- have recorded it. But the first day he was in it dh and I said exactly the same. DIRE. didn't seem to know what accent he wanted to use. hope he's not in it for long

I like Carla too. And I thought the writers were leaving the door open for Tony to come back. Whatserface has become a bit of a slapper of late too.

michelle really does get the crap storylines, both her brothers have been bunked of, her bro in law is a murderer and her son was switched at birth but she seems to have forgotten all about that now

bananaskins - they are huge aren't they? I think Kym Marsh has made a big mistake tbh, prior to the op all those tight tops showed off her fab figure...now she's got the "enormous new hooters" she justs looks really tarty. Can't abide her character now either - rather loud-mouthed and common.

Oh yes, forgot about the stupid swapped at birth storyline and don't really remember the outcome. Her boy really needs to sort his big barnet out.

I don't remember what happened with the swapped son, was he called Alex? I think maybe they let the story die a merciful death due to it being both tedious and unbelievable.

I once saw Kym Marsh in real life, just passed her in the street - very very pretty girl. I hope the caked-in-slap look is just one she's adopted for this part, because at the moment she looks like a rival to Becky.
