Dollhouse - any Whedon fans out there?

I was convinced that there would be a thread about this. I've only watched the first episode last night - but I could be hooked!

Oh I thought it was as dreary as hell and reached straight for my Sopranos box set.

Love Whedon eagerly awaiting my complete Buffy DVD set for christmas, but.... Getting a little confused where Dollhouse is going.

Agree last nights episode was good, but just confused what the bigger picture is?

Am a huge Whedon fan. Dollhouse gets better as you go through the series, give it til episode 5 or so and you'll be hooked.

What channel is it on? Currently on season 6 of Buffy - don't know what I'm gonna do when I run out!

God I am still sad that there is no more Buffy. I have a continuing crush on Spike, how sad is that.

Couldn't get proper reception on Dollhouse, very frustrating.

i love it too. took me a little while to get in to it - apparently this season 2 is going to be a bit more happening-in-episode driven. i missed the first two though and didn't realise till i'd missed the repeat.

it is in sci-fi on tuesdays i think.

We have the boxset on our xmas list! just been working through Buffy and just finished Angel series 4 so looking for a new series to get into!

Dollhouse season 1 has just started on ITV4 (I only have Freeview). But, have seen the whole series already on DVD - including the episode that hasn't been shown on TV [smug emoticon]. The first few episodes are a bit slow, it doesn't really get into its stride until about episode 6, when they start dribbling in the Alpha story.

Nymphadora - I thought me and DH were the only sad people still wading through Buffy and Angel!! Just about to start season 3 of Angel so you are a bit ahead!

9pm on Mondays on ITV4 - there is a repeat later in the week as well.

So who liked the other Whedon idea - Firefly/Serenity?

I've watched upto ep 4 of season 2 as I watch online, unfortunately I think it's going to be cancelled

Nymphadora, Angel season 5 is supposed to be the best - Spike returns! Never seen it myself as I think schedules were mucked about a bit when it was on terrestial so looking forward to getting there.

Season 5 angel was all over the place, but it has spike and the puppet ep, so redeems itself.

Really flamebat? I suppose that explains why it was dropped as I think it did come as a bit of a shock at the time. I hear that Alex Denisof (Wesley) is to appear in Dollhouse too?

Iggi, I'm not sure, but I think it has to do with the habit of American networks cancelling TV shows out of the blue. Whedon's Firefly was cancelled, which left the plotline just hanging, so I suspect the extra episode was to give an idea of his overall intention of the story arc - it's set several years after the end of series 1.

Ah, I've seen that one. Depressing, glad we're back in the present so to speak for series 2.

It's Fox, it cancels everything, it has Eliza in a contract but insists on cancelling her shows so???

loved buffy (had to go and buy them all on dvd!) loved firefly but was so pissed it got cancelled! they did a film though to finish it off cos of all the complaints.

love dollhouse...it just gets better and better!
