RTKangaMummy · 27/10/2009 22:07

I recorded it for DS ~ I enjoyed it

flashharriet · 27/10/2009 22:12

I really loved the fact that some of the kids working on the project were clearly won round by the idea - anything that encourages delayed gratification in our children's generation has to be a good thing!

I liked it too. I'm especially looking forward to the Lego one!

Although, Plasicine will be good too! I can almost smell it now!

RTKangaMummy · 03/11/2009 17:33

RTKangaMummy · 03/11/2009 20:02

well it is on BBC2 now

DebiTheScot · 03/11/2009 20:54

The plasticine garden is amazing.

Why have I only ever seen children make brown mush and nothing even close to as good as that?!

Never saw the 1st one but will watch the lego one.

AvadaNuffofFireworks · 03/11/2009 20:58

Would have preferred a more nostalgic look back at the toys he is featuring rather than how the programme actually is.

hmm that sentence doesn't make sense now does it?

MavisEnderby · 03/11/2009 21:00

Am really enjoying this series.

Looking forward to Lego one.IMO the best ever toy for children!

RTKangaMummy · 03/11/2009 21:06

he has done a different prog about history of the toys like lego etc

Katisha · 03/11/2009 21:10

I think he needs to be a little less embarrassed-looking all the time. I know it's his persona and all that but it makes him seem half-hearted somehow.

RTKangaMummy · 03/11/2009 21:13

I think the stupid woman from RHS who said about the "real" flowers showed herself to have absolutely NO sense of humour

Hope she watched it tonight and was embarressed

RTKangaMummy · 03/11/2009 21:14

I think James is probably quite shy and unsure of what to do and say when iyswim

MavisEnderby · 03/11/2009 21:16

RT kANGA,Re RHS woman I said exactly the same thing to dp!

hannahsaunt · 03/11/2009 21:41

Not just no sense of humour - no imagination - what did she mean, "no flowers" - there were hundreds of flowers just in an alternative format. I'm sure JM is right to query the rules - they just say flowers but don't specify the reality of said flowers ... quite disappointing from the RHS really.

Katisha · 04/11/2009 08:29

Actually I thought they redeemed themselves with the plasticine gold medal which was the perfect solution!

southeastastra · 04/11/2009 08:30

bit of a boring show though wasn't it? or just me

GuyFawkesIsMyLoveSlave · 04/11/2009 08:46

Avada, he did a nostalgic look back at the toys he is featuring in a programme with the same title last year, which is presumably how he got the commission to do this one. It's repeated quite often on some digital channel or other.
