Just caught a glimpse of this by accident. Utterly vile stuff. Do people actually enjoy this kind of thing?

You've not seen Hostel then? Saw is mild in comparision. I try to erase Hostel from my memory but keep failing.

It's labelled 'torture porn' for a reason. I like horror films (Omen, Exorcist etc) but I have no wish to see people gratuitously tortured to death for fun, even in fiction. Grim and unneccesary.

love the SAW films but agree with lunar.....hostel is alot worse and actually the first and only film that made me feel physically sick.
If you can get past the torture parts (LOL) there is actually a very complex and interesting storyline that goes on in SAW

I cannot stand these types of films! i have seen saw and the hostel...and i never want to see anything like it again.

thankfully only saw the very first few seconds (when it's just the words with "credits" before pictures) then DH asked if I wanted to watch it............ermm no thanks.

Ended up watching Blade instead

There is a complex and interesting plot in SAW...but whats the excuse for 5 fricking sequels? Hasnt that guy died yet FFS???

I actually enjoyed Saw the first one, but I can't be doing with the rest. Have watched the second and just thought it was ridiculous.
And yes Torture Porn is a sub-genre for the twisted. Wonder if people who enjoy this would enjoy watching Snuff films?
