AWWWWWWWWW NOOOOOOOOO

wonderingwondering · 02/10/2009 18:34

I really liked him, then I listened to his podcast (trying out MTW material the day before it is recorded), and he made some dreadful comment about Baby P. I'm not usually sensitive, but god, it really turned my stomach. So I'm glad he's going as I couldn't watch him any more without thinking of that awful comment. Which I won't repeat here, I actually couldn't sleep for thinking about it.

smallorange · 02/10/2009 18:40

Why is he leaving?

HarleyQuinn · 02/10/2009 18:43

Shame, Frankie is bloody good!

randomeuro · 02/10/2009 18:43

He said:

"I've decided not to do any more Mock The Week. I've done what feels like a good few thousand of them now and I feel I've mocked the shit out of the week. I salute everybody there (salutes). I'm going to concentrate on next year's tour and some other funny things I'm writing".

Oh pants, he makes me cry with his non pc cracks

MyNameisJane · 02/10/2009 18:55

is he eloping with Kerry Katona?

Hassled · 02/10/2009 18:57

Dammit. I love Frankie. That irritating unfunny bald twat Andy Whatsit should be the one to go.

differentWitch · 02/10/2009 18:58

As long as Jimmy wanCarr doesn't take his place, I'll still watch it.

tulpe · 03/10/2009 00:03

agree with Hassled. The bald twat is indeed v v v unfunny and should leave immediately!

vaughn · 26/01/2010 10:15

Lets hope that he slides off the radar completely. I was absoloutley disgusted by a 'joke' of his about baby P. I'm all for near the knuckle humour but surely there has to be a boundary.

mayorquimby · 26/01/2010 12:09

"I'm all for near the knuckle humour but surely there has to be a boundary."

Nope that's what's great about comedy, either it's ok to make jokes about everything or it's ok to make jokes about nothing.

50ftQueenie · 26/01/2010 12:12

Oh no. He is flipping hillarious and the main reason for watching. Dara is bloody funny too, but it was the interaction between him and Frankie that was part of the attraction.

That bald bloke is about as funny as a migraine.

50ftQueenie · 26/01/2010 12:13

Ummm... he is so funny, I needed an extra L in hilarious.

morningpaper · 26/01/2010 12:16

I always cringe at Frankie Boyle because he has a lot of rape jokes which I just think is ... bad

Jux · 26/01/2010 12:30

That's a shame. I shall miss him, but I shall carry on watching for a while at least.

The one I can't stand is that Hugh? person (the tall one). I wish he'd leave.

hannahsaunt · 26/01/2010 12:39

I may start watching it again if he is gone.

daftpunk · 26/01/2010 12:43

He's the only funny one on it.....

oh well..

ShowOfHands · 26/01/2010 13:58

Oh good. I can't bear him.

Russell Howard is the best thing on there, closely followed by Hugh Dennis.

I'd like to see more women on there.

mayorquimby · 26/01/2010 16:28

It really is going to be an awful show with just Andy "I'M GOING TO SHOUT WITH LONG GAPS BETWEEN MY WORDS AND THEN SPEED UP MY SPEECH AND RAISE THE PITCH OF MY VOICE SO YOU KNOW.....THATTHISISTHEPUNCHLINE" Parson,
Hugh "say something that's meant to sound a bit leacherous and like a double entendre even if it isn't and then pause with one eyebrow raised until the audience laugh (do not, i repeat DO NOT break this apparently smug pose until someone laughs)" dennis and Russell "weren't things brilliant when you were younger and isn't my west county accent hillarious" Howard.

mayorquimby · 26/01/2010 16:38

"I'd like to see more women on there."

The women they've had on have been awful though, there really does seem to be a dirth of female comic talent in the UK when compared to the U.S.A.. They have had Lucy Porter on who can occassionally raise a smile, the black female comic with the short hair who seems to think shouting louder makes her funny.
The only good British female comics I've seen of late have been Sharon Horgan and the women who do man stroke woman.

daftpunk · 26/01/2010 16:40

Women just arn't funny.....full stop.

morningpaper · 26/01/2010 17:17

I'm fecking hilarious mate

ShowOfHands · 26/01/2010 17:26

MP could hold her own on there. HullyGully. AnyFucker.

I think Ronni Ancona would hold her own, always think she's pretty good on QI. Jo Brand, Shappi Khorsandi, Sarah Millican, all doing fairly well. They had another young female comic on there a while ago who I thought did well. Holly Walsh I think. Sandi Toksvig was on there, Sue Perkins. All funny.

Don't like Lucy Porter and Gina Yashere is only ok.

posieparker · 26/01/2010 17:32

Ah-hem, Russell Howard is from Bristol and speaks with a Bristolian accent, what's the beef with that?

Damn refreshing to hear some accents other than Northern on the telly, thanks very much!!
