Not sure if this programme, aired in 2 episodes by ITV has been discussed. Has anyone watched this documentary following the Met's Paedophile Unit, showing arrests of these sick perverts?

I was utterly shocked at the number of men who have an interest in downloading such images and am glad there is a unit dedicated to finding these fiends.

I personally think identifying and making the identities of offenders public is the right thing to do. They are ruining the lives of innocent children, it's only right their own lives are ruined and everyone who knows them, know exactly what they are.

haven't seen it but i'd be a bit uneasy if they were showing images of people being arrested for offences before a trial has happened. do they say if the people have been brought to trial or pixilate out the faces (although lets be honest if you knew the people this wouldn't do much to hide their identity) of those who have not been proven guilty in a court of law like they do in other police shows where people are arrested?

At the end of last nights program it told you what had happened to them, what their sentances were.

They weren't pixelated out but their sentences were shown at the end.

They were grooming children online but the children were Police officers who then aested them when they arranged to meet fo sex.

Dirty bastards.

yes it seems to be the exact same as the american show "dateline: to catch a predator" then.
so they only showed people who were later found guilty in a court of law?
if that's the case,no absolutely no probelm with the sickos being outed.

They wouldn't be able to show images of them unless they had been convicted.

Yes they were all convicted. One was jailed indefinitely. He was a married man, who was Oxford Educated and had a software company. They later discovered photos on his computer of where a baby was being molested, was actually him. They said his wife has since divorced him. May he rot in jail.
