Hooray! A new series! Does anyone watch this? I can't be the only viewer, can I? I'm totally addicted.

No you're not - DP got me into it last series, and we watched it last night.

Tell you what - you'd have to pay me some serious money to do that job!!!

blissa · 11/09/2009 16:04

Dp was annoyed we missed this last night, he came in just before 10pm and for some reason our History+1 wouldn't work

It amazes me what they do. Dp is a lorry driver and would love to do it!

2shoes · 11/09/2009 17:57

I love it and axe men

PlumBumMum · 11/09/2009 17:59

Oh add me we watch it too but deadliest catch is much better!

FritesMenthe · 11/09/2009 18:02

Loved the first series, the younger lads with the mighty fine accents ,bit bored with the truckers in second series. Is this new or a repeat, and what channel please?

PlumBumMum · 11/09/2009 22:25

Its a new series based in Alaska

MavisEnderby · 11/09/2009 22:29

I am quite fascinated by this programme! (Mind you I listen to all sorts of crap on Radio 4,lol).I caught the tail end of it once when sat crashed out while dp sat with the kids in the bath and it sucked me in.I also like Trawlermen (saddo emoticon).Makes a change from BB and all the celebfest/soaps we are mainly fed by TV channels.

PlumBumMum · 11/09/2009 22:38

Mavis if you like Trawlermen you will love Deadliest Catach new series just started this week on discovery

Shellseeker · 12/09/2009 11:34

Am pleased to see a couple of the old faces from the last Ice Road Truckers! And as it's not a road on the ice as such, they can't be re-using that under the ice shot all the time! Also there's a GIRL driver in the new series! Love it!

Highlander · 12/09/2009 17:24

movingnow · 12/09/2009 21:44

Yes, strangely addictive, I mean how mad would you have to be to drive over all that cracking ice.......clearly hyped up for us viewers

Shellseeker · 13/09/2009 22:19

I wonder what they do for the rest of the year?

OP posts:
cece · 13/09/2009 22:25

A new series? When???

ruddynorah · 13/09/2009 22:29

oooh i do love ice road truckers!

i also loved the one about the oil riggers, and the one about the house movers..where they stick a house/church/school on lorry and off tehy go.

DidEinsteinsMum · 13/09/2009 22:37

that'd be mega movers, ruddy.

Discovery is ds' choice of tv viewing it is lovely when all the other mums complain/sing the cbeebies stuff i am content in the knowledge that there are some definet perks to the madness that can be ds(4).

Repeat request for which channel new series on please.

PlumBumMum · 20/09/2009 09:31

Must have because hes in the new series, has lost abit of weight though

Webme1 · 22/09/2009 22:00

I saw a little bit of the Ice Road Truckers. That is not a job for me!

I saw an episode where they had to move a truck from the cracking ice. I think you have to be rather brave to do that trucking job.
