Did anyone see this?
I mean these parents were OTT but the two UK Teenagers were selfish gits and needed a wake up call.

My 8 yr old is showing signs of this brattish behaviour though, is now the time to crack down to avoid having one of those teenage monsters?!?!?!?

I really warmed to the American dad, he seemed like a really decent guy. I do think his style of pareting was a bit OTT and could have done without the religious stuff but he really seemed to make a connection to the kids.
I don't think the teenagers were that bad - stroppy and lazy but pretty typical.

Naomi was stunning, I wouldn't be surprised if she becomes a model.

Nancy I agree - my first thoughts were OMG at the dad and thought they sounded OTT - and perhaps some bits were , but as the programme went on you could tell that actually he was a decent bloke.

DH and I were both intrigued by the wife's comment after he'd got mad about them sharing a cigarette "I would have done things differently" - ooo we want to know what she would have done differently

Was also sliglhty of the clips of the parents of next weeks teenagers.......the way one of the mum's spoke to the DD I'm not totally suprised that she's a pita (the DD)

I agree too about US dad but when he went on a 'daughter/dad date' dh and I went
"Ayyyyyyyye!"

I think the daddy daughter date is just a horrible Americanism (sorry to all Americans - no offence intended) rather like "play^date".

Really what it was just one to one time with her. Just like most of us I'm sure would love to do with our own children just never quite get round to it.

totally agree, there is something obnoxious about calling it a 'date'. boak boak boak.

But the principle is fine, the idea is a good one. I remember my dad taking me out for my birthday on my own when I was 8 or nine and it was utterly brilliant to have him to myself for once.

I LOVE those parents... I love all of them (saw the series before) .... they are fantastic and I love the idea of dates with the kids... twee names, but lovely idea imo especially when dads can work long hours and not have that much one to one contact with the kids

The teenage boy reminded me a lot of that girl off Big Brother...was it Nicky? - "who is she.....who is she"?
I didn't think the girl was bad at all really.
