Watching top gear - strange things going on - DH and I baffled. Anyone care to explain the jokes???!!!

First odd thing was getting a mannequin dressed up as an old lady and smashing her to pieces.

What was the joke there?

Second odd thing was seemingly being totally uninterested in the stunt driver they were getting to do something really dangerous, and by the look of the film when the caravan came through the window, and they just said oh he's shit he didn't do it. Was he OK though? Was my first thought anyway.

Now, while i think JC is a tit, and the whole thing a bit contrived, I generally think it's quite funny...

But I didn't get these 2 things.

Were they just being complete and utter twats? DH didn't "get" those bits either..

Old woman drivers supposed to be awful and a danger to other road users. The smashing of said manaqiun is a vent / attempt to irraditcat from road.
But i am guessing here as i have been watching the poisioning of bees.

Actually really enjoyed the first 150 pages of one of his books. Then is got boring. I can take or leave it depends on my mood. The bees was more intersting as i would like to keep them at some point.

DH thinks he's funny. I think he's a twat but usually get the joke.

But this was just weird.

I like him when he was on IQ talking about shooting foxes when drunk. He was actually very funny on that occasion.

He can be v funny.

But then he does really horrible things.

Like dismembering representations of grannies or laughing at women getting murdered.
