I'm more interested in the professional dancers then in the celebrities, most of whom I have never heard of, having never watched either Hollyoaks or Footballers' Wives.

Very glad to see Brian and Kristina back, wouldn't that be great to see them both in the finals.

I don 't know they can say it is the strongest line up ever. They say that every year.

I'm as straight as anything but even I'd turn for Ola Jordan.

I think it's a pretty weak line up - but then I always think that. I guess that only a celebrity that hasn't got much work on can commit to 12 weeks of competition.

Well, without having seen any of them actually dance, I think Jade Johnson and Joe Calzaghe should do quite well. Particularly like the fact that Calzaghe is paired with Kristina. Unless he's COMPLETELY useless and has worse than 2 left feet, he's my early favourite!

Don't the sporty people generally do quite well?

Mind you, I saw Monica Seles on the US version and she wasn't very good IIRC.

There are lots of dodgy marriages of convenience that go on in the dancing world amongst Brit/ US dancers and their eastern european partners.

Just heard that there will be a Friday AND Saturday show for the first few weeks

It's not a dancing competition it's a popularity contest. I hope Anton Du Beke wins. He also gets lumbered with the mature ladies too, so maybe it'll be different this year. At least Darren Bennet's had a win!

Really looking forward to this but I hope Alesha being a judge isn't going dumb things down too much. Karen Hardy does a lot of the professional group choreography iirc so I think she will be missed unless she is still going to work behind the scenes?

Brendan Cole and Jo Wood were rehearsing at my gym today in one of the studios. They didn't look so good but then I guess they've only just started.
