DH turned it on briefly. Can't watch - I think I would end up in tears. Heart breaking.

Newbarnsleygirl · 16/05/2005 21:18

Oh god!

I have tears in my eyes.

serenity · 16/05/2005 21:26

what side???

Newbarnsleygirl · 16/05/2005 21:29

It's so sad, I can't stop crying.

That poor girl, having a huge crowd of people stare at her.

jodee · 16/05/2005 21:32

Terribly sad, had to turn it over. What wonderful parents though.

Not much choice on t'other side tho' - Celebrity Love Island...time to do the dishes.

SPARKLER1 · 16/05/2005 21:34

Was going to go to bed half an hour ago. Gonna stay up now and watch this.

SPARKLER1 · 16/05/2005 21:47

Ah poor little mite. I feel like climbing in the tv and giving her a hug. What a lot for such a small child to go through. How the parents must be feeling too?
Gonna watch til the end now to see the outcome.
Terribly sad.

mancmum · 16/05/2005 21:48

what amazing parents -- feel totaly humbled by them and horrified at myself for not thinking I could be so like them...

I can't stop crying.

She can't cry or show thats shes upset, she must be so distressed going to have so much surgery.

SPARKLER1 · 16/05/2005 21:53

Oh my god - what an amazing little girl. Her parents are so brave - I would be a total wreck.

Newbarnsleygirl · 16/05/2005 21:55

An amazing family.

I can't think of the words, am just totally amazed by the mum and dads strength.

pupuce · 16/05/2005 22:00

Makes me think of those who terminate because of cleft lip and palate

stitch · 16/05/2005 22:02

i missed this. please explain

Newbarnsleygirl · 16/05/2005 22:03

It's so unfair, why should these things have to happen.

That little girl is amazing, I cannot imagine what sort of a person she will grow in to.
I wish them all the luck in the world.

SPARKLER1 · 16/05/2005 22:08

I am feeling so tearful now. An amazing story. I find it hard knowing that all that she went through and she couldn't communicate by talking or crying to show what pain she was in.

SPARKLER1 · 16/05/2005 22:08

Something else to make me appreciate the wonderful girls that I have of my own.

Newbarnsleygirl · 16/05/2005 22:09

Yeah, thats what got me. When they were trying to sedate her for the scan and when they took her in to surgery. All you saw was her arms and legs struggling a bit. That broke my heart.

I'm going to have a look, thanks Pupuce.

SPARKLER1 · 16/05/2005 22:21

Thanks Pupuce. Gonna have a look tomorrow. Feeling a bit emotional at the moment after watching programme not sure I can take anymore tonight.

Newbarnsleygirl · 16/05/2005 22:39

I've been on. There's a link to Julianas own webpage and you can sign the guest book.

JoolsToo · 16/05/2005 22:45

yes its extremely sad but what do you think?
what kind of a life will she have? can they always protect her?

Bonkerz · 16/05/2005 22:47

I watched this and had tears in my eyes. I also felt slightly guilty like i shoudlnt have been watching in a strange way. My heart goes out to the parents and family who show enormous strentgh and love to help their little girl though this.

Newbarnsleygirl · 16/05/2005 22:48

Honestly, I think that with parents like that she will grow to accept who she is and just lead a normal life. I would imagine that she will be with her parents for a long time though.
As for protection, I don't think so. Theres always going to be some arse who throws a nasty comment or says something heartless.
