This bloke won a six month job on a coral island off the Barrier Reef in Oz.

Having done five years mapping coral reefs as my job in the Arabian Gulf I can relate to this job. Mine however was a lot grimmer than his....

I saw it, was confused though - is it an actual 'proper job', or a job they have dreamt up for a pr exercise

didn't se it last night but caught story amidst huge publicity within US last month

I was so disappointed in it. It was just like an audition for Big Brother. I wanted to see more of Hamilton Island and what he'd be doing. Not 5 loons running around looking for votes.
