What programmes transfix your toddler?

My DD, who is almost 2, is now obsessed with Charlie and Lola. When she sees the television she shouts 'Lola' and turns it on, even though it's only on for 10 minutes a day. When it actually does come on she runs and tells everybody 'LOLA'.

Previously she would get very excited about In The Night Garden, but she's lost a lot of interest in that now.

She likes wildlife programmes as well, but won't do what she's done now, which is sit on my lap staring Charlie and Lola for three consecutive episodes on youtube, saying 'More' after each one.

It's Kerwhizz, charlie & Lola and Milly & Molly here.

2.9 year old DD adores Dora, Diego, Wonderpets, Peppa Pig and Thomas. She has totally rejected CBeebies over the last couple of months.

smallchange · 25/06/2009 23:54

Ds is 2.7 and peace can be guaranteed via the medium of Numberjacks and that crappy Waybuloo thing.

Oh and also The Simpsons and Doctor Who courtesy of dh. I'm slightly uncomfortable about The Simpsons as presumably at some point I'll have to stop letting him watch it for a few years (at the moment it's completely over his head). Not bothered about Doctor Who as I suspect once he gets to understand it he won't want to watch as too scary.

I don't understand kerwhizz - what's the point? and isn't numberjacks really complicated? and I bloody detest InTheShiteGarden, absolute TWONK IMHO, was the writer on drugs??

I like Big Barn Farm. Don't think it's on any more though. Much better than that Granny Murray nonsense or some of the other things that repeat 300 times a day (there's a sketch about an 'Any Animals Agency' that seems to be on incessantly).

Big Barn Farm definitely still on Some Guy..oh yes, it is on, and on, and on.

SomeGuy · 26/06/2009 12:40

It's only on at 7:50am it seems

64 Zoo Lane is a favourite with DS (2 and a half) right now. We sit together at the beginning and he names all the animals - really sweet!

PlumpRumpSoggyBaps · 26/06/2009 12:48

Anything on the Disney channel, really.

Particularly Mickey Mouse Clubhouse (which I was astonished to find is actually quite educational) and Tigger and Pooh or whatever it's called (not so educational but not bad)

Looking good for our hol to Disney World in August!

funtimewincies · 26/06/2009 18:56

Ds (2.6) loves The Flumps (on DVD obviously), especially 'the one with the carrot, mummy' .

4andnotout · 26/06/2009 18:58

DD3(21mo) loves Oggy &the Cockroaches, she waves the remotes at us and chants oggy until we put it on!

MaggieTulliver · 26/06/2009 20:17

Peppa Pig
Something Special

womma · 26/06/2009 23:49

Yo Gabba Gabba in our house. And she likes Wimbledon and Riz Lateef from BBC London news.

pigleychez · 27/06/2009 22:55

DD is 11mths and LOVES Mr Tumble. Big smile when she hears the Something special music.

We have just bought the Something Special CD too which brings the same smile.

A friend with a deaf niece (older) pointed out that if her neice had been watching it then the bit with Mr tumble is only a one sided conversation so would of been abit confusing

Servalan · 27/06/2009 23:58

Pingu

It's a bit of an obsession in our house

PeppermintPatty · 28/06/2009 00:14

In the night garden

Telebubbies

DD is totally OBSESSED with these two, and has been for about a year.

DH calls it crack for kids [grins]
