Unicorn: At the time I was feeling very confused about my beliefs in God (quite specific and religious I know!). A priest there was my personal guide for the weekend and we met once or twice a day, as I wanted to, and discussed my feelings about this issues, and he suggested exercises and meditations to help me think things through. I found it very useful to have some special time to think about these things.
I don't think it would have made any difference if I wanted to discuss non-religious things with him, or whether there was nothing in particular I wanted, apart from to chill out for a bit.
Moss: Email Loyola and ask whether you can do an individual guided retreat over a weekend or a couple of days.
I think it cost me about £30 a night, including food, although it might have gone up since then.
