expatinscotland · 13/06/2009 20:18

Kbear · 13/06/2009 20:18

My sister had the soundtrack on cassette, and we played it so much it broke.

TheRealMrsJohnSimm · 13/06/2009 20:25

OMG - what time???? I LOVE this movie .

Goose, you big stud......take me to bed or lose me forever!

And I love the fact it was made before Tom got the "lights are on but nobody's home" look in his eyes

I had a poster of him on my bedroom wall which was a still from this movie wearing either a leather or denim jacket sitting astride a mahoosive motorbike. Sigh. He was cute then.

LibrasBiscuitsOfFortune · 13/06/2009 20:25

I saw the thread and IMMEDIATLY the song, highway to the danger zone started playing in my head.

Oh Tom, what happened to you

Sidge · 13/06/2009 20:26

Your ego is writing cheques your body can't cash!

I love this film. Cheesetastic but fab all the same.

Take my breath awaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy...

foxinsocks · 13/06/2009 20:27

I am so looking forward to it. If only it wasn't ITV with breaks!

I wonder what films the teenagers watch now that have the same significance as this did for us.

Please tell me I'm not the only one who cries?

foxinsocks · 13/06/2009 20:28

GypsyMoth · 13/06/2009 20:29

That lovin feeling......

slayerette · 13/06/2009 20:38

When Goose dies, Libra? I cry buckets - and then just as I'd got over that, Anthony Edwards went and died all over again as Mark Greene. What's he trying to do to us??

foxinsocks · 13/06/2009 20:42

oh yes that's true. I'm not a crying in front of the tv person but both those events made me weepy. Sigh.

whilst in the water "sir, you gotta let him go sir". Howling.

lambanana · 13/06/2009 21:03

I will deffo be watching - it's one of my faves!

I remember going the flea pit pictures to see it with a lad I really fancied when it first came out!

foxinsocks · 13/06/2009 21:30

FlappyTheBat · 13/06/2009 21:33

I never knew this was on tonight THANKYOU!!!!!

I cried buckets when I first saw it at the pictures, was only 13 or 14 at the time and loved ALL the brat pack.

MaureenMLove · 13/06/2009 21:40

I know every word of that film! 'Morning Scott' is the first line and the last is 'I don't know, but it's looking good so far!'

Juwesm · 13/06/2009 21:44

Ooh, I love this film. They don't make them like they used too.

I once read an article (God knows what in ) about how homoerotic it is - it puts a new slant on 'Playing with the Boys'

foxinsocks · 13/06/2009 22:14

a few mins now

yes I am recording
though my sky+ is playing up grrr

FlappyTheBat · 13/06/2009 22:17

MaureenMLove · 13/06/2009 22:19

God, I love the moment the music changes from slow soothing, to fast and furious!!!

KittyWalker · 13/06/2009 22:21

I've just told DH I know the first and last lines of the films - he's well impressed
