Does any one watch? I think its brill, in face its the only thing I have ever watched on Skys 'Anytime TV'
Its on sky 1 on thursday's at 10pm, Tim Roth is in it.
Its a drama about a team of body languagr experts who assists police in solving crimes.

i watch it - its ok

smurfgirl · 10/06/2009 11:42

I watched one episode and thought it was awful. Was tyring to hard to make him quirky like House and that bloke off CSI. Very contrived.

12StoneNeedsToBe10 · 10/06/2009 11:42

I love it :D

BennyAndJoon · 10/06/2009 12:07

I may try it. I like house. My friend 12StoneNeedsToBe10 likes it.

12StoneNeedsToBe10 · 10/06/2009 12:08

oh yes, much better than that Facebook crap; mind you, it's still got me doing non-work stuff during working hours!!
BEnny - you'll love it. I actually watched an episode of House the other day (first time) and thought it was marvellous!
Tim Roth in Lie To Me is brilliantly dry!! Watch out for one of his minnions who insists on telling the truth all the time

wannabe10 · 10/06/2009 20:45

I love it and its much better then the mentalist which is the same kind of thing.......

Tortington · 10/06/2009 21:49

hte mentalist was first

the guy in the mentalist is fit as fuck

and its better

Ronaldinhio · 10/06/2009 21:50

I would watch anything given half the chance..when is it on so that I can sky+?

Tidey · 10/06/2009 21:51

Lie to Me is very good so far, but I get the feeling it could become samey after a while. At the moment though, I'm very relieved I still have something to look forward to watching, as Bones, 24 and Pushing Daisies have all finished

bronze · 10/06/2009 21:52

I caught a couple by accident (wanted something to watch while feeding) and thought it was pretty good

wannabe10 · 11/06/2009 12:38

I agree the bloke in the mentalist is lovely..............

GothAnneGeddes · 12/06/2009 03:41

I've tried watching it but I just start ranting at the screen about inadmissible evidence. Do you seriously think his face reading would stand up in court?

toomuchmonthatendofthemoney · 13/06/2009 00:50

i think they are copying some of the CSI drama type stuff e.g.

lingering shots of glassy buildings.
lots of marching along corridors and pushing open doors in a very righteous manner.
older, cool, always right dude with a hidden past (Tim roth) who investigates story line A.(gory death).
older but still attractive knowledgeable woman whose personal life is dodgy.
young very attractive Ethnic Minority character in charge of story line B (less gory death).
young geeky with glasses (but still shiny teeth and good skin) who is secretly IN LOVE with Ethnic Minority as above.

However, i do find the body language stuff really interesting and Tim Roth is a brilliant actor (as is Hugh Laurie) who does draw you into the programme. Definitely worth a look, a cut above 80% of the dross on tv.

womblingfree · 13/06/2009 06:48

Am enjoying it so far but is no substitute for Bones and the gorgeous Agent Booth (even though the final episode was appalling)

LovingTheRain · 13/06/2009 20:07

Love, love, LOVE it! Love all the stuff about body language and micro expressions etc. Very intresting and certainly worth a watch!

LovingTheRain · 13/06/2009 20:08

interesting*

PortAndLemon · 16/06/2009 01:31

It's interesting but, as Tidey says, it could get very samey very quickly if they don't get a good plot arc going (so far they seem to just be crowbarring Hints Of A Troubled Past in for the sake of it).

I liked the last episode of Bones. It took me right back to my Moonlighting-watching days in my lost youth -- that was the sort of thing they'd have pulled [warm nostalgic glow].

mayorquimby · 16/06/2009 12:15

can't stand it. thought the first episode was good and the idea was good. then the second and third episode where exactly the same and i realised there's only so much they can do with the format/premise. so every episode now has an overly contrived "twist" and no character development.

Megglevache · 16/06/2009 12:26

it's a bit tongue in cheek and pretty predictable I'd say, but hey that doesn't stop me from watching every week

I like the assistant who doesn't lie- he's so cute.

Megglevache · 16/06/2009 12:27

what's the Mentalist? What a stupid name for a show.
