cornsilk · 01/06/2009 22:26

What was it about?

lottiejenkins · 01/06/2009 22:32

www.communitycare.co.uk/blogs/social-work-blog/2009/05/david-southall-panorama-and-ch.html

Well for what it's worth, I thought it was absolutely incredible that they didn't take into account the social workers witness statement.

Think that woman was on a witch hunt

lottiejenkins · 01/06/2009 22:36

I thought the woman was a bit on his case too!!

OrmIrian · 02/06/2009 20:01

Yes. If it was all true and unbiased () he had a raw deal. That Penny woman was a bit of a nutter.

Saggarmakersbottomknocker · 02/06/2009 20:20

Penny has posted here in the past.

Whilst he has done some good clinical work there's no doubt about that, he is a very arrogant man and he'd do himself a favour if he admitted he could have made mistakes.

liahgen · 02/06/2009 22:47

I agree about him being arrogant, but arrogance doesn't make him wrong though does it? ( also agree he could be a little more human and admit his mistakes, might make the powers that be realise he's a great doctor)

Saggarmakersbottomknocker · 03/06/2009 10:13

Being arrogant doesn't make him wrong. It makes him unable to see that he may be wrong. That makes him a bad doctor IME.

I've had personal experience of him, mercifully shortlived and I'm grateful for that.

OrmIrian · 03/06/2009 10:50

But how can anyone object to the CCTV thing. Parents were prevented from harming their children - why is that bad?

liahgen · 03/06/2009 15:32

I agree OrmIrian, And perhaps also prevent Beverley Allitt or Harold Shipman cases too.
