Jason talking about a magazine to get his grandad with Tina replying Just 17 or is that too old.

Not funny if real life given the storyline but a funny 1 liner.

There are loads of great one liners on Corrie. That girl that's married/not married to Steve is hilarious! Oh Becky! That's her name!

verygreenlawn · 18/05/2009 22:58

Sorry, but Blanche is queen of the one-liners in my book!

sammysamsam · 19/05/2009 01:22

i love corrie! definately the funniest soap when it comes to one-liners blanche has my vote too!

serajen · 19/05/2009 12:33

When Blanche gave Peter a thermometer and once it was in his mouth she told him it was 'a rectal one, but it's been through the dishwasher'! Genius!

runawayquickly · 19/05/2009 12:43

And what about Mary in her campervan, teling Norris what she wore to bed. "Nothing but Tweed by Lentheric and possibly a scrunchie"

KingRolo · 19/05/2009 15:13

Blanche's line about Rev Peach's trendy pet blessing service was a classic; 'You've turned the church into Rolf's Animal Hospital'.

I do so love Coronation Street.

My personal favourite though - Peter Kaye's turn as Shelley's blind date. Introduced to her mother, he says flatteringly "oh surely this is your sister, not your mother? ...." And as the mother blushes and giggles with pride and embarrassment, he adds "Ah no, just seen the neck, my mistake ...." - classic.

sharonsuperstarre · 20/05/2009 19:47

i laughed out loud about the tweed and scrunchie too!

Tinker · 20/05/2009 19:57

Or Blanche just talking about going to so many funerals and then criticising Deirdre for "having a go at my hobbies now are you?"

KingRolo · 20/05/2009 20:02

That was a good one Tinker.

I'd love it if Corrie had a spin-off show about Blanche and her pals at the 'One O Clock Club'.
