OMG what has happened to this program?

Used to love it but it's absolute rubbish!

Nothing like school at all!

And what's with everyone on soaps etc having babies really quick, never getting to hospital in time etc. Even my 14yr old daughter has given up on this.

OP posts:
bigchris · 06/05/2009 20:38

poor Chlo though

FluffyBunnyGoneBad · 06/05/2009 20:39

Big baby for a 6 week prem!

Kathyis6incheshigh · 06/05/2009 20:39

It had all the tv cliches = labour comes on suddenly with a gush of waters, is over in a few minutes....

Kathyis6incheshigh · 06/05/2009 20:40

baby was surprisingly alert as well.

FluffyBunnyGoneBad · 06/05/2009 20:41

Hmm. Quite clean aswell!

bigchris · 06/05/2009 20:59

ooh was that Andrew at the end
god he's fit

nappyaddict · 06/05/2009 21:44

I actually thought they had got the baby at the right size for a newborn, but forgot it was meant to be a 34 weeker!!

Also earlier on when Chlo was sat on a desk talking to Tom there was a side view of her and her bump looked a very odd shape indeed!!

KingCanuteIAm · 06/05/2009 21:47

So no-one else noticed that Chlo's baby girl was a boy then?

nappyaddict · 06/05/2009 22:30

I thought that but it was only on for a split second so I assumed I was wrong. I want to know where all the vernix was. Surely a 34 weeker would be covered in it!!

KingCanuteIAm · 06/05/2009 22:40

There was some on his head but not much. It was a boy, dd and I timeslipped to make sure

So, do you think that they may have got the dates wrong... was Chlo with someone else before Dante? Or are they relyin on our ignorance with regard to prem babies (and sexual organs)

bebespain · 07/05/2009 17:40

I agree kittycats this series has been dire and I only continue to watch it as there´s nothing else on.
I used to love just how realistic it actually was but sadly no more, I am so disappointed...It used to be my favourite prog

npg1 · 07/05/2009 18:17

Did they say what they were calling the baby? And is she keeping her?

bubblerock · 07/05/2009 18:47

Izzy - I think they will keep her, they seemed pretty happy but maybe it'll change.

Kathyis6incheshigh · 08/05/2009 11:37

I love it. I know nothing about schools these days so I assume they are all like this and it is an accurate reflection of the teaching profession.

Fimbo · 08/05/2009 12:46

What is Chlo short for? It is Chloe or Clodagh or something?

wotulookinat · 08/05/2009 12:51

I assumed it was Chloe. It does annoy me how everyone calls her Chlo.

nappyaddict · 08/05/2009 12:58

Why lol loads of people are only known by their nickname rather than full name. You need to get out more

wotulookinat · 08/05/2009 13:03

I'm known by a nickname (a shortened version of my own name), but I find it hard to believe that ALL her teachers would call her Chlo.
And yes, I do need to get out more.

nappyaddict · 08/05/2009 13:15

At my school the teachers only ever called you by your known as name. I had two friends called Elizabeth - one Beth, one Libby. No teachers ever called either of them Elizabeth. Even on prizegiving their names were read out as Beth and Libby and on school reports. I always thought this was the same at all schools. The only thing that didn't have their known as names on were official exam papers.

Fimbo · 08/05/2009 13:18

I think Chlo is a strange shortened name. (imo) Beth & Libby are kind of what your expect Elizabeth to be shortened too.

May it is just me.

wotulookinat · 08/05/2009 13:27

I agree, Fimbo.

Kathyis6incheshigh · 08/05/2009 13:28

Maybe there is another Chloe in her class who is always known by her full name, so they call this one Chlo to differentiate.

nappyaddict · 08/05/2009 18:38

I know a little girl Chloe always shortened to Chlo. Would say it was an obvious nickname like Sam, Becky, Kat, Katie, Vicky, Jo, Steph, Niki, Kitty, Lottie etc etc as opposed to the more obscure ones I've heard like Lola for Alexia.

simpson · 08/05/2009 23:19

Hasn't Chlo's sister got an odd name too if I remember correctly?

I still love this programme even if not realistic

hatesponge · 08/05/2009 23:37

Yes, Chlo's sister is Mika (not in this series, I think is meant to have gone 'off' to colleage/uni) Have always assumed Mika is short for Michaela....

I love WR too, its a sort of guilty pleasure
