Anyone see it? was very good, she worked really hard to lose so much weight.

OP posts:
AnyFucker · 05/05/2009 22:34

it was ages ago this though, wasn't it?

she got married a couple of yrs ago

I believe, she has since regained most of the weight

or have I got it wrong? Was it after the birth of her baby she gained weight?

Prosecco · 05/05/2009 22:53

It was great! She worked so hard and her baby was such a cutie. I wish I had her willpower.

She only got married in November, Anyfucker.

Stinkyfeet · 05/05/2009 22:57

It probably helps having a personal trainer come to your house though!

She did come across well - I thought she seemed lovely.

mrsblanc · 06/05/2009 00:38

watching it now.
She is a doll!

glasjam · 06/05/2009 00:39

I thought it was so booooring! I had to switch over - I couldn't bear to see her crying about getting on the weighing scales. I mean, fair play to her for getting all the weight off but God it was so self-indulgent. Going off and leaving her husband and child for a whole week to go on some fat camp a week before her wedding - and then all the gurning and grimacing at the camera when they made her do all that exercise - what was she expecting?!

And I found all the trying on of the wedding dress quite nauseating but that's my own prejudice I know. I do not possess that female gene that makes you dream of your "big day" from when you are a likkle girl. That one missed off my DNA strand obviously.

Amazing weight loss - dull telly.

My Big Fat Head on the other hand was quite entertaining but I think that was because she was very witty with it - and all the super 8 footage was fantastic too. Can't remember what side it was on.

i enjoyed it, i really feel for people who go up and down in weight so easily. thought her hubby was funny ahhhhhhh.

mrsblanc · 06/05/2009 09:21

she really looked fantastic didn't she?

mymatekate · 06/05/2009 11:55

I thought she did really well, but who wouldn't if they had a personal trainer come to the house for an hour and a half, six days a week, and if they were able to spend £1500 on a boot camp!
I'm guessing this was probably the reason she succeeded, plus the fact she had cameras on her the whole time. You don't need willpower if you have someone forcing you to exercise!
She did well sticking to 1500 cals a day though!!
Thought she looked absolutely stunning at the end though - well worth it!

Nancy66 · 06/05/2009 12:16

i don't know how she did that bootcamp and only lost 4 pounds though. I did one and lost 13 in a week - the least weight anybody lost in m week was 7 pounds - one girl (admittedly a Biiiiiig lady to start with) lost 20 pounds.

NervousNutty · 06/05/2009 12:42

Just watched this on iplayer and thought she did so well.

I understood exactly what she said about living the taste of food so much that she'd eat until she felt sick.

Just wish I had the means to have a personal trainer come sort me out lol.

mymatekate · 06/05/2009 13:11

NervousNutty - I felt the same!!! It was like watching me on screen!
Was thinking about starting up a weight loss support group as I have at least 2 and a half stone to lose and have zero willpower against the lure of the biscuit tin!

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/05/2009 13:16

i followed her through out the time last year she lost weight - she had a diary in woman mag

and she did lose weight, through exercise and dieting

well done her

she looked fab in her wedding pictures

NervousNutty · 06/05/2009 13:51

I only need to lose a stone but I also have zero willpower and just cannot last more than a couple of days without eating stuff I like.

I actually feel myself getting dissapointed when I am coming to the end of a meal, because I enjoy eating so much.

I ate that much pizza at my brothers party last week that I still felt uncomfortably full when I woke up in the night

mymatekate · 06/05/2009 13:57

I do that too nutty - I ate nearly an entire large bag of chocolate buttons the other day even though I was starting to feel really full and a bit sick. It's like a food addiction!

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/05/2009 14:39

obv a personal trainer helps

but i managed to lose 4 stone a few years ago by do ww diet, but at home - refused to pay someone £5 a week to weigh me

Ceebee74 · 06/05/2009 15:25

Have just watched it now - she has done SO well. I have a similar body shape to her - and I started this year at 15st 9lbs and, tbh, have been using Claire as my inspiration. I have shifted 2 stone so far and watching that has given me a boost again.

I thought it was lovely that she took her son with her to all the meetings etc (I don't think many 'celebs' would have done that) and her DH seemed lovely and down to earth aswell.

Also, did anyone else think that Lisa looked a bit odd? She was always the 'pretty' one in Steps but now she just seems a but weird-looking (and not really pretty) compared to Faye and Claire

If I had the money, I would have a personal trainer aswell - why not?? Also, how on earth did she get her son to sit still in a highchair whilst she was doing a training session - DS1 would never have done that

mymatekate · 06/05/2009 15:36

Really not meaning to be nasty.........but I never really thought Lisa was that pretty! I always liked Claire. Lisa has had a nose job and she looks like Michael Jackson now! I also thought it was sweet her taking her son everywhere (unlike another celeb couple, not naming any names Mr and Mrs Andre).
I would love to have a personal trainer - my dh has offered to do it for me in the evenings starting from tonight - eek!

Ceebee74 · 06/05/2009 15:54

Yes there is something Michael Jackson-esque about Lisa now

Also, did anyone else think Claire was a wee bit (dare I say) Bridezilla-ish?? I hate to think how bad she must have been when organising her first wedding

NervousNutty · 06/05/2009 17:12

Oh i think Lisa is pretty, it is Faye that I think isn't so pretty. That said, I wouldn't mind looking like any of them lol.

TheCrackFox · 06/05/2009 17:29

I only caught the last half hour of this and I think she did amazingly well.

If I had the money I would definitely have a personal trainer.

6 stone is a huge achievement.

candyfluff · 06/05/2009 18:02

just watched it on iplayer
she was lovely and so was all her family
agree lisa looked strange its because she has had a nose job.-a bad one at that!!
claire looked absolutley gorgeous on her wedding day.

inscotland · 06/05/2009 18:04

I thought she did brilliantly and looked stunning on her big day but to lose over 6 stone in just 5 months is a lot. I think she will have trouble keeping it off.

stressed2007 · 06/05/2009 23:16

where can you go for one of these fat camps?

TheCrackFox · 06/05/2009 23:29

fat camp in Scotland

Quite pricey for 4lb weight loss.
