So about Eve's mum wasn't it. She was so fantastic I thought as well (Eve and the mum actually)

oh hell I'd forgotten about Eve's mum - sobbed my way through it. I wonder how those little girls are doing?

I hardly saw much of the last series but I love this programme. Poor Eve though

Eve and Holly are doing fine! they go to school and nursery with my children Eve is yr4 so will be leaving first school this summer, Holly is a gorgeous little thing too!
Dad Tim is also doing well - has a new partner and was due to marry on valentines day just gone.
Not seen any camera crew's at school this term though - normally we have to sign consent incase our children are filmed alongside Eve.

I hope it will be on this year. I love this show, as I had my first DS in 2000, so it's really interesting for me. I also remember all the kids now, and am really wondering how they all are doing.

Eve's mum died , of cancer (i think). There was some filming before she died, when she was quite ill, so was very upsetting watching the family deal with it.

I must have missed the last series...I didn't realise Eve's Mum had died.... Eve was the one with the Christian parents yes?
I think I read somewhere that they aren't going to do them every year as the children get older as it would be too invasive.
I shared a lift once with the posh Yorkshire ones. I daren't say anything to them though in case they get fed up with being "spotted". (the really shy Mum)

i adore the programme! how sad is that! my virgin + is on permanent lookout for the show to record it in case I miss it.

Bucharest, yes, Eve had the Christian parents. One of my favourites was little Rueben. IIRC his mum was a single mum with 4 gorgeous boisterous boys!! yikes!

Oh my two dc are always asking when this is back on. We love it, especially as dd2 is the same age as the children. I remember watching it when pregnant and thinking ooh that could be me (as if - I would be mortified to let cameras into my life and was a complete heifer when pregnant and very very grumpy with it - would have scared everyone off ).

I remember all the squabbling we had on here over Reuben and boarding school

I like little Rueben. They are the family that live nearest to me (about 45 mins away).

I've just had to google Reuben...couldn't remember him at all....(maybe I missed more than I thought) I do think some of the children seem to get a lot more coverage than the others, but I suppose it depends what's happening in their lives and how they deal with it based on the "topic" of the episode...

Am very to pleased to hear that Eve and her sister and dad are doing well - thanks for the update Worcestermum.

Have resurected an old thread instead of creating a new one. Did anyone else watch the new programmes on Sunday and Monday?

I have to say I was a little disappointed that after waiting 2 years since the last show all we are getting are 2 x 1hr programmes. Not even all the children were shown.

There seemed to be more of a focus on adult personality than on child development.

Also the theories of personality they presented were spoken of as if they are scientific 'fact' when there are actually lots of different personality theories.

Personally I'm not a fan of pidgeon-holing people, tick-box style- life just isn't that simple.

Wanted proper updates of all the children. Have said on a different thread that the BBC just seem to have lost steam with this, as every year we seem to get less and less.

I am starting to be a little worried by thisprogramme now,its one thing to film toddlers and babys but to have the fact that you may have introverted tendencies,or not be very agreeable broadcast to the nation aged 10 ....not sure about that .I don't think it will be long before some of the children start to object as well

Love love LOVE this series. It's amazing how bonded I feel to some of the children! I know all their names too

I was also disappointed to not get a more comprehensive update about them all.
