Can't decide if this makes me happy or sad

No doubt Cbeebies will repeat it for the next 5 years.

purpleturtle · 29/04/2005 16:25

So why is all right to replace the actor playing Josie Jump, but not those who play Miss Hoolie or Archie? Strikes me that there may be an element of 'they all look the same to me'.

FLUM · 29/04/2005 16:26

thank god!

gscrym · 29/04/2005 16:29

Does that mean the locla economy in Tobermorey will go into crisi s because no more Tiny Tourists will go when Balamory finishes. The clothing trade will be fine seeing as they only have one outfit each.
They've just brought out that whole range of toys as well. Can anyone say Bargain Bin!

Titania · 29/04/2005 16:29

hooflippinray....cant stand it

sparklymieow · 29/04/2005 16:34

hooorayyyy!!!!!!!!

WideWebWitch · 29/04/2005 17:00

Oh no! Dd can practically say Balamory.

LIZS · 29/04/2005 17:12

Sadly I'm sure it will be on screens for many years to come - just no new ones being made. The nursery kids will all be embarrassed teens by the time it disappears !

flamesparrow · 29/04/2005 18:56

Purpleturtle...

I went on the Cbeebies website at the time they changed her, and there was HUGE outcry about it. I think if they tried to do it with two more characters they would probably get beaten with sticks and decided it wasn't worth the resistance.

OH NO! what will DD do without Balamory. SHE LOVES IT.

So much so that we are going to the stage show in September.

joleap · 30/04/2005 15:32

I can't believe they are axing Balamory! It is fabulous. I love Miss Hoolie!
My little boy loves it. And the whole programme taught my daughter her colours!

Check out these Balamory badges for sale on eBay - Vote Miss Hoolie Election 2005.
Here they are:

Or you can get to them via here:

Save Balamory!

SenoraPostrophe · 30/04/2005 15:36

oh no!

agree they can't change the characters, but can't they have 2 new characters instead?

tiffini · 30/04/2005 15:37

there is a god!!!!

ionesmum · 30/04/2005 16:55

I wish that axing a programme meant that we wouldn't be seeing it any more, but all it means is that the old ones will be repeated even more!

I loathe Balamory with a passion.

scampadoodle · 20/05/2005 17:09

I think they should get some new characters - how about a couple from League of Gentlemen? The useless vet would be just fabulous...
