Help me understand Archie on Balamory

is it just me or does Archie seem so wooden and so unexcited about being in a town filled with the most lovely animated people. He just seems pissed off the whole time - is it because he is so wooden or too snobby for the likes of lovely Edie McCreedie and Miss Hoo-ha-hooley. I've been trying to get him for a while but just don't feel he fits in. am i alone??!!

I can just about tolerate ITNG, but not Balamory.

Luckily though DS is into older progs now - Horrid Henry, My Parents Are Aliens etc, but will watch Cbeebies if nothing else on.

Schneebly - who does he love in the castle? Himself or Penny or even Spencer? Intrigued!! Where does he lie?

Inbreeding def. He's having an illicit affair with PC Plum hence the obsession with pink. I think Edie is only high on petrol fumes and Miss Hooley - I'm not sure what she is on but it ain't good.
My theory is that Spencer is in fact extremely intelligent and is living undercover completing his thesis o care in the community..

Actually I think the actor playing Archie plays the whole thing by taking the piss. Watch him - he's practically sneering at the camera.

I think he looks like he wishes he was at the Old Vic.

I think the only person he is getting loving from in that castle is himself..or perhaps the robot. Of course I did mean to write live

He's not the least Scottish. Spencer has an american accent.

He's grumpy because PC Plum has spurned him.

Archie is my favourite. He is the only one with a sense of humour.

Very posh Scottish people often have English accents. Weird but true.
