Is anyone watching Sky3 "A Mother Like Alex"?

I am absolutely blown away by this - just stumbled across it by accident - this lady adopts/fosters/cares for 8 children, all with special needs from Downs Syndrome to CP and blindness - she is amazing!

I watched it last week and agree Caz - she is an incredible lady.

I loved how unflinchingly honest she was - for example about her oldest adopted boy whom she decribed as like a "lodger".

A very strong, loving, capable mother - those kiddies are very lucky.

I thought it might have been a repeat, Sky3 seemed an odd place to find it. I was in tears through that, she is amazing! I loved her house too, what an incredible environment for these children to live in. That eldest boy was a sad story, no attachment at all, but she was so wonderfully good to him. Sniff and sob, I feel ashamed for whinging about finding one baby dd with no SN hard work sometimes!
