I think Paula had a thing with Eileen's dad and Kirks girlfriend is his daughter...

think it was a bit more sinister - e's dad taking advantage or even raping julie's mum?

kind of thinking that too at first but really hoping not

well she was very aggressive towards him the other day when she was round at Eileen's. looked like she hated him

he could have dumped her when pregnant, didn't have to have raped her
i just think storylines like that are done too often and is lazy writing

p.s. how old is julie sposed to be? she could be anything up to 45 the way she dresses and acts! She and her mum are more like sisters, but not because her mums is young; more like Julie is so old (which doesn't make sense at all, but ykwim!)

julie has a fling with jason and when julies mum finds out she doesn't like it [probably because their cousins]

I never found Julie and Kirk convincing as a couple, and Julie and jason is even less convincing. As someone else said, how old is she supposed to be? She acts very middle aged. I find her a strange character. Not much substance to her.

I actually like her as a character; she reminds me of the Old School corrie characters. I just couldn't tell you how old she was if my life depended on it
