Anyone else watching this (channel 4, now)?

They said at the beginning that there are 700 000 violent attacks on strangers a year in the UK. Did I get that right? It seems an awful lot if true.

That is shocking, win! I wish you have complained to the manager. Those losers should have been chucked out of there.

Apparently, if you are in need of emergency assistance, the best thing to shout is "Fire" - for some reason people are more like;ly to intervene.

My mum was on her way home from work on Saturday and there was an abusive drunk on the bus who was swearing and shouting at the bus driver. It surprised me that the bus driver didn't call it in.

How far would you go to intervene though? A whole bussload of people doing nothing is truely shocking, considering safety in numbers and all that, but I can understand a loan person not wanting to intervene tbh.

A friend was recently out walking her dog when she witnessed a group of teens knock a girl to the ground and begin kicking her. She shouted at them to stop, and she said they became really intimidating towards her. So much so that she herself was scared.

And these days even with teens you have no idea if they might be carrying a knife or similar. Probably not but would you want to take that risk?

I think calling the police is certainly the wisest thing to do, not sure about intervening and putting yourself at risk though.
