Have noticed a few actors from The Wire in it and was wondering if it was worth a look.
Am always on the hunt for a good sky plus series for the nights DH is out.

Brilliant - but you'd really need to watch from the first episode of series 1.

ruty · 30/03/2009 11:49

brilliant but having missed a few episodes i'm a bit lost. First series was better IMO.

It's brilliant, me and DP love it. But - watch right from the start, and don't try and knit or anything. You have to watch it like a hawk and concentrate, because it's really complicated and full of twists and turns. If you look away from the screen for 10 seconds, the person you thought was a baddie is suddenly collaborating with the heroine and 4 major characters have shot themslelves

Glenn Close is amazing in it.

ninedragons · 30/03/2009 11:52

Fantastic, but I agree that it's not one of those shows you can pick up again if you miss a couple of episodes.

bananapaddlepop · 30/03/2009 12:10

Oh great. I shall keep an eye out then for repeats of series 1 on sky somewhere, or hunt down a dvd box set.
I'm addicted to crime drama

its very good

have watched sinse episode 1 series 1

but agree you need to watch like a hwk - the storylinewas very complex in series 1

theres a lot of time jumping - 6mths later, 4 weeks earlier etc

ByThePowerOfGreyskull · 30/03/2009 14:11

I love it - but like the others have said if you can get hold of the back episodes it will be better.

dietstartstomorrow · 30/03/2009 18:51

I loved series 1 - I got the boxset on Amazon for about £8 - bargain!

Blondeshavemorefun · 31/03/2009 11:23

£8 bargain

happy watching

MyEye · 31/03/2009 11:29

I am going off the boil with this series.
The chronological mucking around is just wilful. And Rose Byrne is way too thin.
Plus, Glenn Close isn't quite evil/mad enough this time.

Blondeshavemorefun · 31/03/2009 14:56

you do need to concentrate and make sure you read the 4weeks before/6mths later etc

mumdebump · 31/03/2009 15:26

I love it but found last Sunday's episode a bit dull. Maybe I was watching it just too late. I stayed up to watch, normally I have to record it and watch in the early evening when I can concentrate and not get too lost...

Blondeshavemorefun · 31/03/2009 17:39

i also normally sky+ and watch on a monday but only as i like watching desperate housewifes

thought there was a twist/dramtic ending this week - or am i muddled up with fringe?
