Anyone feel last night's was a bit flat. The revelation about who was involved in his wife's death seem a real anticlimax.

I'm annoyed that it started an hour earlier than usual so I missed the first half!

I changed my clocks.

I saw it for the first time last night and couldn't stop laughing at how they seem to have catered purely for the stereotyped idea of Oxford. The vast majority of the city doesn't look like that and the quaint parts they concentrated on typically have a far busier atmosphere. Most of the people certainly don't behave as was portrayed either.

Was Morse like this too?

I quite like Lewis but I do think they could do with some characters/murder victims that aren't students. For me it's easy watchable lazy Sunday night tv. Was a bit disappointed with Mrs Lewis' hit and run driver though, I was expecting Lewis to at least throw a few chairs or tople at able
Laurence Fox is lovely I think.

The plot really didn't stand up to scrutiny. Dh (who has a fair bit to do with universities as a visiting professor) just watched, stunned, and said "but why did she give him any money, they'd committed the plagarism? Even if she knew about it at the time, it couldn't be proven that she hadn't acted in good faith!"

Quite .

Mmmm...Laurence Fox [dreamy emoticon].

i thought last nights episode was'unsatisfactory'.......and a bit bland.

i think they film it very early in the morning (and in only the nice streets from different angles..does make me laugh)

the college gardens look beautiful though (last nights was exeter college)

Yes, I agree that last night's wasn't much cop at all. Very stereotypical characters indeed. The scenery was lovely though. Feel a bit sorry for Kevin Whately, Hathaway is by far the most interesting character in the show. Poor Kev always plays second fiddle!

I'd read somewhere that Hathaway didn't tell Lewis that he knew who killed his wife, so therefore I enjoyed last night's episode.

Always had a "thing" for Kevin Whately (ever since Peak Practice I think ) so him and Laurence Fox in the same programme - guess I don't really notice the storyline so much
